(More customer reviews)After four days in the hospital after being diagnosed with a very serious intestinal bleed, and, as well, being diagnosed with two stomach ulcers all caused by NSAID (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) use, I am to take iron for at least three months. I tried a slow-release iron (you know the one) for a week and each time I took it, my stomach hurt very badly with a jabbing type pain. I did a lot of research and saw that Bifera agreed with people with all sorts of digestive issues. With the very first dose and onward, there have been no more pains associated with taking iron. This is an amazingly gentle product and I strongly recommend it if you have any sensitivity at all to either slow-release iron or regular iron. I am so happy this product is available. Iron use, in general, can cause constipation as other reviewers have mentioned, but perhaps increasing fiber and taking maybe some fish oil (capsules if you must) may help with that. But no more pain? I'll take that anyday! Great product with a marked improvement in both my color and energy in two week's use!
