I always purchased the 2" paddle flat irons only to have frizz after I stepped out in the humidity. I tried various/salon quality flat irons. When I used this flat iron my hair stayed completely smooth and straight even on rainy days! My dreams have been answered FINALLY!!! This will be the first summer I will be able to flat iron my hair and it stays that way!!! This iron is awesome, it heats up quickly and glides through your hair with ease. I promise you that you will be very pleased with this item! I use the Chi silk infusion oil as my hair protectant prior to flat ironing. As a licensed cosmetologist I can't stress the importance of using a protectant!!!
