I thought it just was not hot enough, so I let it sit to heat up for ten minutes, but the plates are cool enough that I can touch them with my hand. My hair is not that curly in the first place, but even after attempting to straighten my hair for twenty minutes, it remains wavy. If I could give this product zero stars, I would.
