(More customer reviews)Initially I was hesitant to purchase this flat iron since it doesn't have a heat setting control but thus far it has not even been a problem. I use it primarily to straighten my bangs, but recently used it on a friends hair and even in extended use it never got too hot to handle or singed the hair. It takes a awfully long time to straighten hair longer than 6 or 7 inches, which may be a drawback to some people, but for my purposes it is perfect.
