I actually owned one of the very first T3 dryers. It was still working after about 6+ years but wanted something new as mine T3 was beat up and diffuser not longer stayed attached.
I would definitely say this is the same if not better than the T3.
Love the diffuser with a fan-like blade that spins. Sounds a little weird when you get close to your head but works great!
Sleek black design with bumpers on side to avoid sliding off counter or getting scratched up.
I tried all the settings and the hot gets hotter than the T3 but I don't feel like it was frying my hair. Air flow is good.
Not loud in my opinion.
Dried my hair in less time than the T3.
FYI~I have a lot of fine hair...no tangles, fly aways or frizz with this dryer.
