(More customer reviews)I was having a hard time finding a 1/2" curling iron locally, other than really cheap ones with no temperature controls. Found this one online and liked the looks/brand name, even though it was more than I really wanted to spend. I couldn't find any information about whether it had auto shutoff or not, but assumed for such an expensive curling iron it would. Unfortunately I shouldn't have assumed. I'm bad about forgetting to turn off, so the auto shutoff safety feature would have been nice, and really should be there for the price. Otherwise it's a nice curling iron, good size and shape, controls placed to where I'm not always accidentally changing the heat setting (like on my old one that sadly passed away). My old curling iron cost under $20 and had the auto shutoff feature. I would have preferred to replace it with an identical model, but apparently they don't make them anymore. That one lasted probably 5 years. Hoping this one at least lasts longer, to make up for the lack of safety features and higher cost.
