(More customer reviews)After nine years, one of the plastic parts that holds the plate in place broke. Most likely due to cramming in sutitcases and dropping it a number of times. I am so glad I had the patience to reorder a new one. My older one didn't have a switch and light to let you know that it's on, that is a convenient new feature. I have had cheaper flat irons, but this one is amazing!!! I have frizzy long hair and this iron makes my hair look super soft, shiney, and straight without making it look limp. I mainly straighten the outer parts of my hair, so this may help with the volume aspect. The plates allow the hair to glide smoothly and quickly. When I wear my long hair down, I can't imagine going out without using this iron. I am grateful for it everyday!
