And to be honest, they've become the vitamin both my husband and I take (my physician and my OB never had a problem with it, but I don't think they've heard if it's adequate for adults one way or the other). When I was pregnant, I started taking a different brand of gummy vitamins and an extra folate pill (morning sickness got the best of all the adult vitamins, whether pill or chewable, even low-iron). I got hooked and never went back to Centrum! Only complaint is they seem to disappear quickly and thus get pricey (when kid, mom, and now dad are taking them!). Taste better than Flintstone gummies, and about as good as Scooby Doo gummies, but cheaper and with more flavors.

(More customer reviews)I learned long ago that 'food-based' multivitamins absorb better than typical synthetics because their sources are real. Real food. Our bodies know how to extract nutrients from food. (Not so much from nutrients made in a lab.) All Rainbow Light supplements and multivitamin formulas are food-based and vegetarian. Although I'm not a vegetarian, I've been taking RL Complete Nutritional System formula for about 10 years. Before taking them, I averaged two or three colds per year. Once on them, I've averaged one or none per year. Also, there is no cup of coffee or chocolate bar that delivers the sustained all day energy that these vitamins provide. There's no jolt, no jitters or drop off. You just 'have' both mental and physical energy while taking this mutli. Note: Your urine will turn 'pickle water' green. The vitamins themselves are green. Get it? :-) No worries, this is perfectly natural. I am currently switching to RL's RejuvenAge 40+ Multivitamins. I'll write a review of that as well, but I promise not to wait 10 years to do it.

FYI, they are large pills, they don't taste the best and just a word of caution, never take them on an empty stomach, it could make you nauseous. (More customer reviews)Kind of a blunt title for a review, but I'm cutting to the chase here. I'd been wanting to take a multivitamin, but every time I tried one, I threw up. Every. Single. Time. It was not pleasant. I had trouble pinpointing what was making me ill at first (when you start one healthy trend, it usually coincides with others -- like eating healthier and exercising) but it was definitely the vitamins. I did a Web search hoping to find one that would be gentler on my stomach. This one popped up, so I tried it. I'm very happy with it. I can take it with or without food (though I err toward food, just in case). I haven't had a single stomach problem. I've felt a lot better in recent weeks, too. This one isn't a crazy MV with 4,000% of anything, which is another thing I like. It's in the 200-400% range on most vitamins, which is just fine by me. I'm really happy to have found one that doesn't make me ill.

(More customer reviews)I finally found these after much searching! I used to take Walgreen's Land Before Time Children's Mutlivitamin, Multimineral Supplement, but they discontinued them and I was at a loss for a viable supplement in my much-restricted diet.
After several frantic calls to Walgreen's I was put in touch with the manufacturer of the vitamins, only to be told that this was pretty much the same item under a new name and available at Wal-mart. However, I usually first check Amazon for anything I am searching for and was lucky enough to locate these here.
I cannot take adult dose vitamins, as they are always over supplied with the ingredients and the doses are way too high for me, so children's vitamins are a natural choice. These are the best I have ever used. (They are manufactured by Perrigo - 1-800-253-3606.) Give them a try and you will be delighted!
I have been taking them for about a month and am delighted with them. I wish they were offered in a larger quantity and/or on Subscribe & Save. The price was right, the shipping was decent, and it saved me a trip to Wal-mart.

(More customer reviews)This is a really good, really cheap gluten free corn flour. You can't use it to make polenta--that's corn meal, not corn flour. However, you can make skillet corn bread with this (put masa harina corn bread into Google, and it will pull up a couple of recipes--they also call for wheat flour, so substitute northern bean or white rice flour and a tsp of guar gum per cup of flour.)
If you're new to cooking gluten-free, watch out for cross-contaminated brands. This one is safe, because corn is the only thing they mill. It also says, "Gluten free" on the package. And, best of all, it's about a dollar a pound. (Brown rice flour costs twice that much.)

Recipe cannot be easier:
- 3 large eggs,
- 2 tbs of fructose or honey (can be substituted with sugar),
- 4 cups of spring water,
- 2 + (1/4) cup of teff flour,
- 1/2 tsp of baking soda + 2 tsp of freshly squeezed lemon juice (you can add this mix at the end as a multi-purpose rising agent for any baking).
Usually I use two 10" frying pans at once to make flat pancakes as fast as possible.

Only had to use 1/3 of the bag for 6 muffins so, at $2.50 per bag, it's not at all expensive. Now I can make casaroles with cornbread topping, etc. I also am not fond of the Bob's mixes with the bean flour (taste really funny and beany) but this one is a keeper.
