I have not used it in the US, but when I've used it in Europe, I've noticed that it gets VERY hot - too hot to touch the rollers - so care is needed when using.

(More customer reviews)I am very happy with this set. Its exactly the right size with the right number of curlers. Who uses the little curlers in those big sets? These heat up fast, they travel well and they last. I have had mine for a few years. I haven't been able to find this product anywhere other than Amazon. I was so happy with this set that I bought a set for each of my sisters.

(More customer reviews)this product is excellent. The curlers have a velour outside so my hair doesn't slip off when rolled up. They heat quickly and are kept firmly in place with a well fitting clasp. They are a good size for longer hair so the curls are big and not tight and small. My hair looks great afterwards. I bought 12 and that is enough to do my whole head - a good deal for the cost!
The only downside is you need a mirror in the kitchen next to your microwave - but the microwave is a good height to sit a mirror!

(More customer reviews)This is an excellent set of rollers for taking with you when you travel. The compact size and shape make them incredibly easy to pack. They rollers heat up very fast and do an excellent job. The ceramic material the rollers are made out of seems to reduce the amount of frizz you can sometimes get from hot rollers. I actually have two sets of these as my hair needs a lot of rollers.
For the space conscious traveler, this set is hard to beat.

(More customer reviews)I love these rollers. In fact, I'm on my third set. If you close the lid they do get very very hot, and they don't take up much room on the bathroom counter. My only complaint is that they take up a huge amount of room in a suitcase. And, the plastic lid cracks. In fact, that's why I'm on my third set. After about a year of business trips, the lid will be cracked beyond use. So, I'm going to buy another set of these for the bathroom counter, and try another brand for the road.
