(More customer reviews)I found that the greatest strengths to this iron is that the graduated wand creates curls that look very natural since they aren't completely uniform. I have medium thick hair with a small amount of curl to it, so have never had a problem curling (or straightening) my hair.
I also am moderately coordinated and have no trouble with the clip free design and hold the hair in place with or without the glove (being much more careful without). No clip means that your hair doesn't tug when releasing the curl. Also, maybe it's hard to design a clip for the graduated barrel...
I don't notice it holding any longer than other curling irons. However my hair doesn't have heat damage from the quick set time & ceramic material. Again, I think the advantage to this one is the very natural look to the curl & I probably will get the grande model with the wider barrel eventually as well.
