(More customer reviews)I had to buy this after I used my little sister's iron several times. I have never seen such amazing results from a curling iron. The MOST amazing thing that it does is smooth out hair, equal or better to that of a flat iron. I have long hair with very dry, split ends, but when I use this curling iron it smooths them out so well, it looks like I have perfectly healthy hair. It was VERY easy to use, easier than most curling irons, because of the swiveling knob on the bottom (hard to describe, but it definitely helps.) Also, since it heats up so fast and gets so hot, it's a major time saver. I also own the 2" version, but I like the curls I get from this iron better.

This is great since it has a dial for setting just the right temp to work with my hair. No more frying it trying to get it to curl on a curling iron that is too cold. The cord swivels easily out of the way while you are working making it great for those of us doing our own hair. On off switch is placed so as not to accidentally shut it off.

I am an avid beauty product customer, who does their research before buying products and this has been my best purchase by far. This curling iron was inexpensive and made my dry, bleached, damaged hair turn to smooth, silky, touchable locks. Another great feature of this product is how quickly it heats up, it is so quick that I can turn the curling iron on and start using it. I haven't experienced anything negative with this product. When I researched this product prior to purchase, I found out that the barrel of the curling iron is infused with tourmaline and lava ceramics that help provide the hair with superior conditioning. On the website it includes the following information about tourmaline and lava ceramic technology; "Lava is molten rock expelled during volcanic eruptions. In it's liquid form lava can reach extreme high temperatures; typically from 700º C to 1200ºC. (More customer reviews)I was a little hesitant to purchase this item since there were no reviews for it, but I'm glad I did! It does just what it's supposed to do: holds your hot styling appliances while you style your hair so that they remain off of the countertop and within easy reach while styling your hair.
It has suction cups on the bottom that hold it in place on the counter so it doesn't slide around. It really does stay in place, even when moving a tool in and out of it.
This device has a little metal clip that you can flip over to hold curling irons or wands, and flip up to hold larger flat irons. I've used it so far with my 1" flat iron, my 19mm curling wand, and my 1 1/2" curling iron, and it works great with all three. It seems like it is wide enough to hold up to a 2" flat iron.
Also, just be warned that the box says that you shouldn't have your hot tools up to more than 400 degrees when using this.
I like this so much and the price is so great that I might pick up a second one since I like to flat iron my bangs when I curl my hair.

I am a hairstylist and it lasted a week from the time I opened the box it was in, used it for the first time, and until a week later when it would not heat up. It might last longer for some one who uses it once daily. I style short hair and have it on all day. My larger size barrel irons have not burned out and I've been using them over a year. I wonder if there is a problem in the electrical plumbing of the iron. I want to get another one, but I can't keep buying this iron every other week. I hope this help with your decision.
