I am an avid beauty product customer, who does their research before buying products and this has been my best purchase by far. This curling iron was inexpensive and made my dry, bleached, damaged hair turn to smooth, silky, touchable locks. Another great feature of this product is how quickly it heats up, it is so quick that I can turn the curling iron on and start using it. I haven't experienced anything negative with this product. When I researched this product prior to purchase, I found out that the barrel of the curling iron is infused with tourmaline and lava ceramics that help provide the hair with superior conditioning. On the website it includes the following information about tourmaline and lava ceramic technology; "Lava is molten rock expelled during volcanic eruptions. In it's liquid form lava can reach extreme high temperatures; typically from 700º C to 1200ºC. We discovered that adding lava stone nano particles to our ceramic surface provided increased even heat distribution and a remarkably hard, smooth styling surface that promotes anti-bacterial properties. (More customer reviews)I was a little hesitant to purchase this item since there were no reviews for it, but I'm glad I did! It does just what it's supposed to do: holds your hot styling appliances while you style your hair so that they remain off of the countertop and within easy reach while styling your hair.
It has suction cups on the bottom that hold it in place on the counter so it doesn't slide around. It really does stay in place, even when moving a tool in and out of it.
This device has a little metal clip that you can flip over to hold curling irons or wands, and flip up to hold larger flat irons. I've used it so far with my 1" flat iron, my 19mm curling wand, and my 1 1/2" curling iron, and it works great with all three. It seems like it is wide enough to hold up to a 2" flat iron.
Also, just be warned that the box says that you shouldn't have your hot tools up to more than 400 degrees when using this.
I like this so much and the price is so great that I might pick up a second one since I like to flat iron my bangs when I curl my hair.

The iron does create interesting shaped curls. They are more chunky and hard looking. If you hate having the clip mark in your hair from curlers with clips, then you are going to hate this iron. This iron creates curls that have clips all over it. Its looks like zig zag curls. It's a really unique shape.
The iron does get really hot. I wish it had more than one heat setting.
I do like the curls this iron creates. They are beautiful and its an interesting twist on curls.

(More customer reviews)I actually purchased this item directly from our local Sally Beauty Supply to save on shipping costs. It works quite well. I like the adjustable heat settings and keep mine low on the 240 mark. Most curling irons I've used in past were too hot and burned my hair. The 3/8" barrel makes nice tight curls. The only problem I see with the product is that the cord tangles during use. I'm always having to stop and untwist the cord between curls. It has a 360 degree swivel cord but it doesn't help at all. If you're considering buying this curling iron for its good qualities, I'd say buy it. If you're looking for a curling iron specifically to remedy an issue with tangled cords, I'd consider other options.
