He LOVES these vitamins.! says they make him hurt less in the morning (he is in construction and has chronic back, leg, knee, joint and muscle pain). he said he feels more alert and just generally better. We bought our first ones at our local health food srore where the manager explained how he thought the Mega Food brand was the best out there due to how they cold fusion their vitamins for your bodies easy absorption which did make alot of sense. if you notice on the labels the amount of each vitamin is much much less than any other regular vitamin due to how they make them and the fact that your body absorbs them 100%, not like other vitamins out there especially ones sold right at health food stores.
Try them you won't be disappointed! I just bought for myself the Mega Food for Women over 40 after paying $69 per month for 2 years on Women to Women Essential Nurtrients vitamins (you take 10 per day of those) so i'll be writing a review on the Women over 40 pretty soon!

(More customer reviews)I've used Nature Made Prenatal vitamins for over 4 years now--from pre-conception (you need to have folic acid even before you know you're pregnant)to today, when I am on the tail end of weaning my son and getting ready to try for another baby. They are fairly small--so easy to swallow--and I've never had any nausea after taking them, as can sometimes happen with large-dose vitamins. I highly recommend these vitamins--even if, as the other reviewer mentioned, you aren't trying to get pregnant or support nursing.

(More customer reviews)I love this prenatal vitamin. I originally purchased this liquid prenatal vitamin because of my first trimester morning sickness. Pills just triggered my stomach sensitivity. It proved greatly beneficial. I'm now in my 5th month and am still taking it because I have come to rely on it. I will probably stay on it till I stop nursing. It helps my over energy level and well being. I can tell when I have forgotten to take it because I get run down. It's readily absorbable so I get the kick I need very quickly. I love that it also includes the DHA, folic acid and "pregnancy herbs" that I would normally have to get in another pill. I do add calcium and COQ-10 to my regime though. This is my third pregnancy and I wish I would have found this sooner. One bottle lasts about two weeks if you take the recommended 2 Tablespoons a day. I split the dose in two and take 1 Tablespoon twice a day. You can find on sale or on the internet for about $15/bottle, which is a cost of $30 a month which is very reasonable for a "good" natural prenatal vitamin. It's the best vitamin, mineral, herb blend that I have found. I highly recommend it.

One A Day Women's Prenatal Vitamins Review

(More customer reviews)I have been taking these for over a year now, and honestly they work the best for me. I am not pregnant, but my husband and I are planning on starting a family in the near future. I have tried several prenatal vitamins and for some reason they ALL made me sick to my stomach, even if I ate a large dinner right before I took them. I even had this problem with regular multivitamins and the regular One A Day Women make me sick too! With these, I haven't had any problems. I just take them at night right before I go to bed. There is no funny taste, they're easy for me to swallow, and best of all they don't make me sick!
I also did a lot of research on vitamins and found these vitamins to be very close to containing the recommended amounts of vitamins and minerals. Even if they are a little under or just right, the everyday foods you should be eating for a healthy balanced diet also contain these vitamins and minerals as well...so I wouldn't worry too much about that. A good resources to find which foods contain the vitamins and minerals needed for pregnancy is "What to Expect Before You're Expecting". I found it very informative and an easy read. Some pre-pregnancy books are way over the top for me. After all, women have been having babies well before us. :)

1) The smell/taste is horrible. I have taken different prenatals in 6 different pregnancies, as well as other supplements over the years. These have the worst smell of any pill I've ever taken, hands down.
2) You have to take 4 a day. So, the bottle is more expensive than you think, and you have to take 2 monster pills twice a day. This is because the manufacturers are trying to jam in a whole range of nutrients, beyond the big key ones. In comparing these to my new prenatal vitamins, the new ones require taking only one a day and have as much or more of most of the key nutrients of 4 of the Completia pills.
Pesonally, I wouldn't recommend this vitamin to anyone. Even if you want all the miscellaneous nutrients or supplements, I can't imagine that there isn't another one somewhere that's more pleasant to take

(More customer reviews)I first heard about Enfamil Expecta Lipil at a pregnancy nutrition course led by a nurse, who worked in prenatal for over 30 years. Since this is my first pregnancy, I didn't realize that omega-3 fatty acids were beneficial to the brain development of the growing embryo and fetus. I only knew at the time that pregnant women were supposed to be taking prenatal vitamins. I started taking Expecta Lipil around the 4th month of pregnancy. I figure it's never too late to start since I only learned of such information during my 2nd trimester. I am now starting my 3rd trimester.
I recommend this product based on several factors: 1. I didn't experience any side effects. 2. The product is manufactured by Mead Johnson, a reputable manufacturer of baby products. 3. The softgel is easily taken with my prenatal vitamins after a meal. 4. This brand was recommended by a seasoned health professional. 5. The product will definitely benefit my growing baby. 6. The purchase of a pack of 2 (60 gels total)definitely saved me some money. I ordered several packs to last for the duration of my pregnancy.
I only gave 4 out of 5 stars because initially I had difficulty removing a softgel from its blister packaging. The backing was not perforated. To easily remove a softgel, I punctured the backing with my thumb nail to tear it off. Also, absorption information was neither provided on the box nor at the manufacturer's website. This information would be helpful for the curious mother to roughly determine the amount of fatty acids that actually migrates into our bloodstream. This would allow me to keep track of my nutritional intake during my pregnancy. (In case you are wondering, I have a science background and have been working for the pharmaceutical industry for almost a decade.)

Others are so overdosed with other vitamins (which, in such large amounts, have been linked to birth defects) that you're getting way more than you need. This one is the only one I could find which had everything I needed in the right proportion and another bonus is that it is over the counter and thus ends up being cheaper than co-paying for a prescription! (More customer reviews)I specifically searched for this item online just so I could rave about it! I used these prenatals with my second pregnancy and wish I'd had them for my first. I continued to take them for the year I spent nursing my baby. They made me feel so good that I have started taking them again in place of a multi (I'm not currently pregnant). After trying many expensive brands of multivitamins (including the $$$ packets that are supposed to be better than a "one-a-day" pill), I still maintain I was better off with this one remarkable vitamin. After 4 days of consistently taking this, I am NOTICABLY more awake, energized, and focused. Instead of taking a vitamin because I am "supposed to," I take it because it actually makes me FEEL BETTER. I don't have to blindly hope that it's doing something!
I am appalled by the people who whine about the bad taste and smell. They are supposed to be SWALLOWED, after all. Nobody says you have to suck on them. Vitamins and minerals that are natural, potent, and effective SHOULD have a sort of funky smell. Think of what they are made from! A "pretty" vitamin with no smell or taste is going to made of mostly synthetic ingredients that aren't going to be absorbed by your body anyway. I mean jeez, most people take vitamins in the first place because they are too lazy to eat right, so they try to get the required nutrients in a convenient little pill. They are vitamins and minerals you and your baby NEED, in a PILL, that you SWALLOW, ONCE A DAY. Now you want it to taste good on the way down and not have an odor? Do you want a vitamin that works, or one that is super attractive -- because this one works. Hold your nose and take it with something sweet if you have to.
