ghd Thermal Protector Review

(More customer reviews)I have crazy thick hair that tends to run on the fuzzy side. I use a ghd iron and since I'm a sucker for periphery decided their thermal protector was the way to go. It does run a little on the heavy side but for thick hair this doesn't cause a problem. A little different from some products because you CAN physically see the hair being sealed. My hairdresser is on strict orders to let me know if my hair starts drying out (so I can stop with the iron). She says it's fine. And since she doesn't sell me the thermal protector, I believe her.
Would recommend this to anyone but especially those with thick hair who need to use straightening irons on a frequent basis.

(More customer reviews)I used successfully Fantasia hair products for over 15 years, so the IC Heat Protector was the first product I purchased for use with my new flat iron. I don't use a chemical or blow dryer to straighten my hair; so I let it air dry. However it takes maximum heat (430 to 450 F) to get my hair really straight. IC HP did a great job with shine, gloss and straightening but it left my hair extremely dry and brittle feeling. I tried it again but used less product on the hair and got the same results. I regret having to discard an almost new bottle, but the formulation does not suit my hair type of extremely coarse, wavy hair with a dry scalp.

I asked my stylist why this was so and she asked me what kind of blow dryer I was using and then recommended this one to me. Well I am a total believer, even though the price was way more than the $20.00 I usually pay for a blow dryer, but it was worth every penny. I haven't had a bad hair day since and I get compliments from people on my hair now. It just feels silkier and in better health. It's all good. Highly recommended.

(More customer reviews)i have really thick hair that gets seriously frizzy. i bought ceramic silk when i purchased my flat iron and i love it. it makes the process go MUCH quicker than it usually does and eliminates frizz. i love it so much i even use it sometimes when i don't straighten my hair to make my curls softer. only thing i would say is don't use too much, even for thick long hair a quarter size is plenty! overall great buy and would recommend it to anyone!!!

My hair always looks better after she styles it--and I use the same shampoo and brush that she does--that meant it was time to invest in the dryer. The dryer is pretty quiet and light. Seems like it is made well enough--must be since my stylist has been using it everyday (multiple times) for more than 3 years. I looked at upgrading since there are newer CHI's out there--but this one was cheaper and I knew for sure that it would do a good job. I don't regret not getting one of their fancier more powerful models--I'm not trying to fry my hair, just dry and shape it. After my other professional hairdryer died (did a good job--but got crushed in an accident), I began using a $20 cheapie--what a mistake. When people tell you that all hairdryers are the same, it is because they don't really know. My research has indicated that CHI is only brand on the market with full ceramic components--not just ceramic coated. I really didn't want to spend all this money--but my hair actually looks much better and others have noticed. I would recommend this dryer--it was worth the price to me.

But I noticed some language in the Owner's Manual that I wanted to warn everyone about. On the last page at the end of the "Service" section (which is separate from the "Guarantee" section), the following language appears:
"The appliance is only under warranty if purchased from a professional salon. The purchase of the appliance will not be guaranteed if purchased through any other outlet including the internet."
So be forewarned that if you purchase this product via the internet, the one year warranty will not apply.

(More customer reviews)I as so lucky to get this t3 color lock press from DiscountsJungle. The only prices comparable to the $6 (plus $12 shipping) were $30 and $85 (everywhere else was $200!). I was skeptical that this deal was too good to be true- over $100 in savings? But it was true! The item arrived practically overnight and was brand new (the seal was broken but everything inside was in PERFECT condition, never unwrapped).
I used my T3 for the first time and OMG, it only took one pass to smooth my hair. I have fine-though heavily colored- hair and it made my hair shiny and perfectly straight like I'd just walked out of the salon! It was quick and I had amazing results. It was very hot, however, even though I only had it on setting 2 or 3, so be careful to follow the directions and only use it on damp hair.
I would recommend this product a million times over :)

I had checked a review elsewhere on this product and the Keratin Mist and the reviewer had preferred the Mist. So I decided to try it out. I am not disappointed. I find it gives my hair good hold when I straighten it. And it is much lighter so hair does not feel greasy or goopy. Go ahead and mist away!
