(More customer reviews)The GHD Salon Styler Ceramic Styling iron 2 in. is the best flat iron I've ever owned. This iron was recommended to me by my hairdresser at Vidal Sassoon in NYC. I've tried salano, chi and many more, but this iron retains its heat the best. I have long, thick, wavy hair and I only have to swipe my hair with the iron a few times before it's completely straight. The heat does not fade. Plus, it has a 30 minute automatic shut off feature if you forget to turn it off. The one complaint I have about it, is it's design. I wish it's shaft were a little more narrow or thin. I have average sized hands for a woman and the joint of my thumb sometimes hurts when gripping it but its a small price to pay for a great flat iron. Aside from that, I would recommend this to anyone and everyone.

(More customer reviews)I have crazy thick hair that tends to run on the fuzzy side. I use a ghd iron and since I'm a sucker for periphery decided their thermal protector was the way to go. It does run a little on the heavy side but for thick hair this doesn't cause a problem. A little different from some products because you CAN physically see the hair being sealed. My hairdresser is on strict orders to let me know if my hair starts drying out (so I can stop with the iron). She says it's fine. And since she doesn't sell me the thermal protector, I believe her.
Would recommend this to anyone but especially those with thick hair who need to use straightening irons on a frequent basis.

(More customer reviews)I tried this styling product especially made for dry coarse hair with specific flat ceramic irons. Went on the GHD website for precise directions even buying their special brush for the job. Studied instructions perfectly. Product does straighten hair but at a cost. Hair is like glue. Could not get a comb through it. Turned hair even more dry and coarse and made it looks flat. As my hair is over 15" long it stuck together like two curtains. On the windy day I tried this, my hair didn't move but took off like two kites. Don't try to run fingers through your hair, you'll get stuck. As their products are so expensive I won't be buying anything again. Too pricey to try out.

(More customer reviews)I travel quite a bit and decided to invest in a good quality mini hair dryer that's dual voltage since I travel through multiple countries sometimes and the less adapters I have to remember the better. When I searched for a dual voltage dryer this set came up, which is misleading since only the straightening iron is dual voltage. Wish I read the write up more thoroughly, cause somehow I missed that bit. Doesn't it seem odd to offer a set of two: one dual voltage and the other not? Having said that, the dryer itself is well made. The cord and plug seem a bit bulky to cram into the little bag, but sturdy. It is quieter and yet still more effective than one would imagine from a small dryer. I like it and will use it when I travel in the US only. Unfortunately I still need to invest in another dryer for 220V. I can't comment on the iron as I haven't tried it out yet.

(More customer reviews)It meets all the claims when it works; after about 10 months, its starting to die. It will quit heating for a while, then start heating, then quit...an so on. After trying it with an extension cord from a different, more modern, electrical plug, the problem seems not as bad. I wonder if they circutry was cheaply made and can't handle ANY minor normal power fluctuations. I don't expect the unit will work though the end of the month. Buyer beware.

If you have color treated hair, it is extremely important to protect it from all kinds of heat--not only to protect it from breakage, but also to prevent color from seeping out of the hair's cuticle. I brush the section of hair after I spray it on to make sure all the strands are coated, flat-iron, and then move on to the next section. The scent is hard to describe but it's really nice--it smells like some sort of delicious candy. I really love it!
